Do You Believe In Angels??
by Tracey Ann Finley on 1/8/2010 9:39:42 AM

LOVE YOU TAKE IT WITH YOU
I would like to start a blog about angels......be it in the spiritual sense or in the mortal sense. I have come across both in my life thus far and each day I am more and more amazed where angels are concerned. I have decided to dedicate this year, 2010, to my love for angels. Most of my paintings will be based upon the love and kindness that angels bring into our lives. I would love to hear any personal encounters that you would like to share. Please post them here. I am not the best blogger, but would really love to discuss Angels......

My living room is called The Angel Room and is a tribute to my love and interest in Angels. I have a wooden sign that reads: LEAVE ROOM IN YOUR HEART FOR ANGELS TO DANCE and I read it everyday, several times a day. That sums it up..don't you think?
Talk to you soon....
Love,
T

Just added this new painting on Ebay:

I have been fortunate to have many "angels" in my life. Every Christmas I decorate my living room with a special collection of angels and call it my angel room.

Thanks Dina...I am just curious if you leave any of those Angels out all year round? I used to pack them up carefully in bubble wrap and take them out the weekend after Thanksgiving. The past few years I have decided to leave them out. They bring me joy everyday instead of just one time out of the year. I really am glad angels are around us.....

I think this is a huge project and I'm excited to see how it goes. It's so nice to meet another artist.

I also have met angels in the flesh and in a different form-because they are there one minute to help me and gone the next. I think you have to carry love in your heart for them as you shed tears in thankfulness for their help. I'm glad I started my first angel painting with yours and intend to purchase more! I love the way you capture them. I think all your paintings are unique and loved by many!!

My store is filled with folk art angels. Tracey Ann's angels
are flying around and keep my customers safe.
The Lemon Fair is the home of the Sewanee angel and Tracey
Ann's angels are a wonderful part of my collection.

Ann and Gay:
You amazing women are the inspiration behind my creations. After reading your kind and beautiful comments here, I had a tear come to my eye. I am truly touched by your love for my work and thank you from the bottom, top, and inside of my heart.....

I believe in the spiritual variety of angels, the angels here on earth, and I have a few very special angels in my home. There are several on my Christmas tree, one that was given to me by my horseback riding instructor before I was a teenager. The one I love the most is on a shelf in my home and was made by one of my ceramic students in a retirement community where I worked for 17 years. She's made of porcelain and is more of a cherub than an angel...but I adore her. She reminds me of the dear lady who cast her, cleaned her, decorated her and brought her to 'life'.
Tracey, keep up the great work! I can't wait to adopt more of your art! I just have to wait until I finish student teaching in May and can afford it. Happy and prosperous New Year!

I believe in angels that make people smile and Tracey Ann's
most certainly do that. I want one that says "leave room in
your heart for angels to dance" please. Every piece of art that
you create must make you very happy it does me.

I have never thought too much about angels, but I am open to all different thoughts and views. I LOVE your painting, and I will go to your etsy shop now. : )

Hi Tracy!
It's easy to love your stuff because it has so many qualities that appeal to my crazy, colorful brain! Your art is wacky, unconventional, full of personality and humor and in many respects very personal to the collector. I'm on your fan list - keep creating! It's what you are meant to do.

Hi Tracey, I also believe in Angels, and am lucky enough to have experienced them, in mortal form and otherwise. I have a deep love of angels, and am currently reading two books about them. I also include angels in my art work. your work is beautiful and creative, it lifts the spirit!

I do believe in angels and I love Tracey Finley paintings. There have been many brushes with angels in my life and the lives of those I love.
There was the time my two year old daughter told me somebody named Katie floated above her hospital bed and said "breath, breath" . . . The time I fell asleep at the wheel to be awakened by a rustling sound and the vision of large white wings . . . The time my tire blew out on a busy, dangerous interstate and a stranger changed my tire - calmed my children - followed me home and then disappeared - the name and phone number he gave me were false . . . Angels are among us!
During Christmas Eve Mass when the children dress as angels and shepherds - our Priest talked to the children of the parish. He discussed guardian angels and told the children about his own angel named Toby. He asked if any of the children knew the name of their own guardian angel. A little girl in wings and a feather boa announced that her angel's name was Princess!

Wow Beth....those are some very powerful happenings. I totally believe that angels are among all of us and that we don't realize they were around until we think about the situation later.

I was in a car accident back in 1984 and to this day I don't know how I walked away with just a few bruises. I feel like an angel was right there with me and helped me get through the ordeal. Thanks for sharing your amazing stories....hugs..

My friend has alawys loved angels, she was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (in several places). My sweet 16 year old daughter bought her a little angel pin, and Laurie now wears it close to her heart everytime she goes for chemo.

Thanks Bev for posting such a touching story. I hope that your friend takes comfort in her angel pin and pulls through her chemo with great results. I will say a prayer for her.....

Just wanted to share this...the last month or so I have been waking up each night at around the same time. Always around 3am. I am not quite sure what wakes me, but as I think about it more and more I swear I hear my name, very close to my ear. I wanted to ask if anyone else has ever had this happen and what you think it may be. I always get up and the first thing I do is to check my children. They are always sound asleep and it takes me forever to go back into a good sleep again. Some people have told me to talk out loud and ask whoever or whatever is waking me up, to please stop and talk to me in the day! Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this.......lets talk!

Just wanted to share an angel experience...at least I think and my heart tells me it was an angel experience....I lost my dad many years ago. He passed on a cold, snowy day in January. I think of him often and wish that he could have shared in my life. He has missed my wedding and the birth of all three of my children. I get comfort in thinking that he knows all about me and my life by keeping in touch with me from heaven. I know that thought is for my benefit, but holds some truth too. I was awakened at around 3am to a familiar feeling. At the time, I couldn't place my finger on what that feeling was, but the next day I realized it was the faint, yet strong enough to remember scent, of my dad's tobacco. When I put the smell to the memory I instantly got goosebumps and thought to myself, that must have been Daddy. Maybe he came to visit me in my dreams. That too has happened before. Such a vivid dream that it felt totally real. We both danced in my living room and had the greatest time. But back to my first story....after I put the tobacco smell connection to my Dad, I then realized that it was the actual night of the anniversary of the day he passed. I feel blessed that I experienced this and part of me hopes he visits me again.
I feel he has helped me in my life even though he is no longer with me. He always loved angels and I know that he would enjoy my art. I feel sad that he missed my paintings too.
Love to all,
T
