Wanted To Introduce You To Our New Boy:
As of two days ago, we are the proud new family to our new baby boy, ROCKY!

He is an eleven week old Cairn Terrier weighing in today in the featherweight catagory at....drum roll please:
5 Pounds!
I have decided to share our adventures with Rocky right here on my blog and would welcome any comments. If you are an owner of a Cairn AKA Toto From The Wizard of Oz dog, please offer any advice that comes with experience.
We are keeping Rocky isolated at the moment from our 15 year old dog named Dakotah, just until the Vet gives us a clean bill of health on Rocky. They need to be separated for 72 hours to rule out Rocky having any type of Kennel Cough, worms, etc.
The cats have been cautiously and curiously coming over to Rocky's crate for a peek, but really don't know if they are interested in him or not....only time will tell who will be the ruler of this house, we certainly know its not the people that live here, that's for sure! LOL!
Rocky seems to sleep most of the day and is catching on already to doing his business outside! YIPPEE!!
He is quite the ham for the camera, so I am hoping for some great shots to share here! I can't believe that we have had him at the house for just two days and are so much in love!
I hope that you will enjoy the Adventures Of Rocky and come see what will happen next!

Well, as you can see, Rocky is pooped out, and so are we! Up today at 5:00 AM, but he is such a Good Boy!

We did have an issue with his health, but he has been to HOME VET SERVICES(the best pet care around!), and has been put on two different medicines and we have to keep him away from our 15 year old Collie/Shepherd mix. Its always a chance adopting a puppy from a pet shop. We have always rescued dogs and this is our first family experience with a pure breed pet. The puppy store has called us about 4 times to check on Rocky's condition. I have a follow up appointment with the Vet on June 1st. I hope he will pass his exam with flying colors.
Will post more soon......
Hugs,
